On the Road with Mr Bambuckle

On the Road with Mr Bambuckle

October and November have been particularly busy months. Here are some of the highlights in pictures:

I was absolutely blown away to find out that Exploding Endings: Painted Dogs & Doom Cakes won Honour Book at the KOALA Awards. The KOALA Awards are voted on by children, so this was especially thrilling. Congratulations to all the winners!

It was fun visiting Melbourne in October to be part of the YABBA Awards. I got to meet plenty of wonderful children, librarians, teachers, and other authors and illustrators.

Meeting Andy Griffiths was a special moment. I’m certainly a bit of a fan!

James Hart and I made an appearance on Kids’ WB. The episode will air on Sunday, 19th October at around 9:45am. I’m not so sure my kilt dancing was any good, but we’ll see in time!

James Hart and I also ran a workshop at The Little Bookroom. Leesa made us feel very welcome and it was exciting seeing James’s illustrations take shape in real time.

Adrian Beck, fellow middle-grade author and all-round great guy, is launching a brand new YouTube series. The series will feature fun interviews with Aussie authors and illustrators. Watch this space for updates!

There was just enough time to visit some amazing schools in Melbourne and introduce them to Mr Bambuckle!

The lovely and talented Debra Tidball interviewed me for Just Write For Kids. You can read the interview here.

Thanks for stopping by!
