RUBY LANE by RJ Simon (thewordverve inc.)

It’s the holidays and Ruby Lane is staying up late, playing dress-ups with her cat and letting her ever-vivid imagination run riot.

Ruby finds herself in an all-sorts type of adventure, where she’s never quite sure where she’ll end up, or who she’ll meet next. From pirate cats to bass-playing fairies, the characters Ruby encounters are an oddly eclectic bunch, always surprising her, but never taking away from the action.

Ruby Lane is broken up into short chapters, which means keeping up with the rapid character changes is manageable. Pirate Cat plays the important role of a constant character, giving Ruby someone to share the journey with. Will they be able to return the magical book to its rightful owner?

Ruby Lane is the debut novel from Australian author RJ Simon.

Surprising. Whimsical. Imaginative. Alternative.

I love this idea! What a brilliant, great fun way to review a book!

Thanks Debra! It’s certainly lots of fun and brings together two things I love – reading and music.
